PreOp PACU & PAT Manager at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Denton

The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager-Pre Op/ Post Op is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the ASC mission, vision, and facility goals. The Manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies variances through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Nurse Manager works with the Facility Administrator in meeting Facility goals. Oversees Pre-op/PACU/PAT; assists as Pre-op/PACU/PAT RN.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
